Getting started

Do I need an account?
No. Static QR codes need no account. An account lets you save codes and create dynamic codes you can edit later.
Is QRStitch free?
Static codes are free forever with no watermark. Free accounts include 3 dynamic codes. Paid plans add more dynamic codes, longer analytics and team features.
Which QR code type should I choose?
Use a website link for most things. Use WiFi, vCard, UPI or WhatsApp when you want the phone to do something specific. Choose dynamic if the destination might change.

Design and printing

What size should I print my QR code?
At least 2.5 cm (1 inch) wide for close scanning. For posters, allow about 1 cm of code for every 10 cm of scanning distance.
Why does my coloured QR code not scan?
Scanners need strong contrast. Use a dark code on a light background, avoid light-on-dark designs, and keep a white border around the code. Our checker warns you before you download.
PNG or SVG?
SVG for print, because it stays sharp at any size. PNG for websites, documents and social media.

Dynamic codes and analytics

Can I change a QR code after printing?
Only dynamic codes. Static codes store the content directly and can’t be changed.
What happens if I cancel my plan?
Your dynamic codes keep redirecting to their last destination. You can’t edit codes above the free limit until you upgrade again.
How accurate is location tracking?
Locations come from the network, not GPS, so they are accurate to the country and approximately to the city.

Privacy and safety

Do you store my WiFi password?
No. Static codes, including WiFi codes, are made in your browser, and the content is never sent to us.
How do you stop scam QR codes?
Every dynamic destination is checked against Google’s unsafe-site lists, and anyone can report a code. We disable codes used for phishing or malware.
